Given our times, February 8’s Safer Internet Day is a significant event. The purpose of this day is to increase user responsibility, raise knowledge of the internet and technology, and make the internet a safer environment for everyone. The Internet has undoubtedly changed the way we work and live. According to how we utilise or abuse it, it may be both a blessing and a curse. Balraj, an actor-host and comedian who most recently appeared in the reality series Smart Jodi featuring celebrities, discusses the issue and how much time he spends online. Read on to find out what the Comedian Balraj Syal has to say.
“This day is probably the fault of those who created us internet addicts. The irony is that on this day, we will shout it from the rooftops and inform everyone about it via social media and hashtags. It appears that we must use the internet to tell people to use the internet less. The Internet is an excellent resource. When it first existed, it was great to click and learn about the rest of the world while sitting in one spot. However, the addiction has worsened the situation. People typically blame phones, but the truth is that we are addicted to the internet. People won’t just use the phone if you use a standard Nokia phone without internet.” He claims.
Comedian Balraj Syal:
Balraj believes that parents should refrain from giving their children phones or I pads and from opening YouTube solely to keep them occupied. “The child should be closely monitored by the parents. Even if they are using the phone, playing games, or watching something. Children won’t be able to distinguish between right and wrong. When it comes to today’s kids, they are vivacious and capable of anything. However, given all the scams, students must be careful to not trust people they encounter online; instead, they should make friends with people they know in person. The youth need to take care of a lot of things. It’s acceptable if we utilise the Internet for infotainment. Taking a weekly detox from the Internet is essential because when the WiFi goes out, people become depressed and irritable.”
