Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has left the film industry debating and discussing whether nepotism and favouritism prevail in there. Many celebs believe that negative stuff exists while others say it is present in every industry. Faisal Khan, Aamir Khan’s brother, has now opened up about biases in the industry. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, he recalled a disgracing event that took place at Aamir’s 50th birthday party. But, the most shocking thing is, he was insulted by Karan Johar.
Karan Johar was trapped and bashed by netizens after Sushant’s demise for promoting nepotism and favouritism. In addition, he also had to stay away from social media for a long time to keep away the negativity and hatred that netizens poured in to him.
Faisal Khan Shares the Incident when he was ill-treated by Karan Johar:
Faisal voiced about how he was treated. He was quoted as, “If your work flops, they don’t treat you well; they don’t even look at you and it has happened with me. On my brother’s 50th birthday, I was looked down upon by someone, I don’t wish to take the name. But, Karan Johar acted weird with me; he put me down. He insulted me when I was trying to talk to someone and trying to disconnect with the person I was talking to. So, a lot of such things have happened and even I have been through it.”
Faisal said in Mela, he acted with Aamir Khan but was sidelined. However, he yet confirmed that it is not impossible for outsiders to make their mark in the industry with their talent. He went on to say that star kids enjoy a special position for their first movie. However, their sustaining in the industry depends on what they bring to the table. He also said everyone has to prove their worth and talent. He said, “There is no theory or formula for success.”
