The actress confirmed the news by stating, “I wasn’t about to direct the movie, I had started it out as a project and I was only working it on the concept level. I was only about to produce the film and look for a director. I was so busy in my career to even think about opting for direction. Nevertheless, KV Vijayendra Prasad’s script was set on a large canvas, and is related to the historical films that I have worked and directed before.” The partners I am collaborating with are also keen on me directing the film. Later, I felt that maybe it’s best is I direct this film. So, it all happened genuinely.” Moreover, the film will also be directed by Kangana Ranaut’s production house.
Kangana also told the media that she is not nervous about directing the film, even though this will be her first project as an independent director. She said, “It is tough when you have to carry someone’s else vision, but when it is your own you know where to go. I have been working on this film from scratch, so, I have clarity on the thought behind this project.”
