Actress Amrita Prakash has recently revealed that she prefers cameos over lead parts. The actress believes that short roles are more effective and divert the plot of the story. However, lead roles are not always as intriguing and influencing. She said that she has realized strong-willed characters are often guest-stars. She was quoted as, “I don’t want to invest one or two years in a show at this point. I want to do a different character that impacts the story deeply. The reason why I prefer guest appearances and extended cameos is I have realised that strong-willed characters are often introduced as guest stars. Cameos, at times, come out stronger than lead parts.”
Amrita Prakash says she chooses meaty characters:
The actress added, “The volume of work, experience I’ve built over the years, because of which my approach to both my craft and the kind of projects I choose, is very different. That’s also a way to avoid getting stereotyped.”
Amrita also said that she picks up meaty characters. She said, “I never say no to lead parts. But, my preference is finite series and meaty characters.”
She has worked in Rishtey, Yeh Hai Aashiqui and Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi, and films, Tum Bin (2001), Vivah(2006) and Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi (2008).
On the auspicious occasion of Onam, the actress shared a smiling photo of herself. She is seen wearing a snow-white saree with yellow blouse. Her smile is infectious and her fans are absolutely loving the energetic vibes that she is spreading. Have a look at it below-
