Actress Ishitta Arun is poised to steal the show in national award-winning director Hansal Mehta’s gritty crime drama “Scoop” following the huge success of “Rana Naidu,” in which she starred alongside South Indian idols Venkatesh Daggubati and Rana Daggubati. It’s interesting to note that when she was chosen for “Scoop,” she was already working on the show “Good Bad Girl.” The Covid-19 outbreak prevented the director from holding rehearsals and meetings, despite his desire to do so. Ishitta was therefore unprepared when she unexpectedly found herself on the set of “Scoop.” The actress was soon having a blast on the set.
Ishitta portrays Nelly, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub’s wife, in the investigative drama “Scoop.” Ishitta acknowledges that Nelly isn’t one of the main characters, but she nonetheless significantly improves Zeeshan’s (who plays a journalist) quality of life. She serves as his moral compass in life. She is the one who demonstrates to him how to properly use the pen to advocate for a colleague. Professor Nelly enjoys an equal marriage, according to Ishitta.
‘Behind The Bars In Byculla: My Days in Prison’ by former crime reporter Jigna Vora served as the basis for the film ‘Scoop. Jigna Vora’s world implodes when she is accused of the brutal murder of a fellow journalist, Jaideb Sen, and finds herself incarcerated alongside people whose stories she formerly covered. A notorious sniper, a dishonest bookmaker, and the infamous Chhota Rajan are among the others accused. Karishma Tanna, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Harman Baweja, Tannishtha Chatterjee, and Deven Bhojani are all featured in “Scoop.”

Ishitta was extremely apprehensive and ill-prepared when she arrived on the set of “Scoop,” but her director, Hansal Mehta, put her at ease. She says, “I was a total blank when I walked onto the site on day one. Hansal Sir merely uttered “Karo. I was anxious because I had no idea what to anticipate. With Karishma and Zeeshan, I had my third shot, and I fumbled my lines. But Hansal Sir made me feel comfortable and requested him to continue. The daughter of well-known singer-actress Illa Arun. I realised he allows his actors a lot of liberty to be themselves.”
Ishitta, who is also an interior design consultant and has produced live concerts, described the atmosphere on the set of “Scoop” as feeling like a “celebration of talent with all accomplished actors around.” Working with Mehta has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience for Ishitta. She extolled the director’s virtues, stating, “Hansal sir is a man of few words. He dislikes giving actors too much direction. He only enters and offers you a brief when you truly need him. Also, he holds your hand for the first five minutes before putting his faith in your acting skills. Ishitta, who has appeared in Sonu Nigam’s “Bujiria,” Shyam Benegal’s TV project “Yatra,” and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s “Loye Loye,” said it was a tremendous pleasure working with him.”
