The Central Government has given a green signal to pass Sushant’s case to the CBI. The decision was made after the Bihar Government recommended a CBI inquiry into the death case. In the recent news, the CBI has filed an F.I.R. against Rhea Chakraborty. To respond to this, Rhea’s lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, opined about the entire scenario.
Statement by Rhea’s lawyer:
Angered by the same, Satish has issued a statement objectifying the decision of the Supreme Court. The statement read, “The Bihar Government transferred a case with which it had NO Jurisdiction to investigate, to CBI instead of The Mumbai Police, which is the legal position. The Hon’ble Supreme Court is seised of the issue pursuant to the Transfer Petition filed by Rhea Chakraborty. The SC has directed all parties to file their replies and Mumbai Police are directed to place the report of investigations.”
“Pending the said proceedings the CBI has registered and continued the illegality which was perpetrated at the hands of Bihar Police. CBI being a premier investigative agency in the country should desist from taking any further steps pending the SC proceedings. Apart from the same unless the Maharashtra Government consents to CBI investigating the case… it would be totally illegal and beyond any known legal principles, affecting the Federal Structure of the Nation.”
Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate has summoned Rhea Chakraborty to question her about the case. A case has been registered by the ED against Rhea Chakraborty for money laundering. As per reports, she will be asked about her property in Mumbai. All of this has come into light after Sushant’s father, Mr. K.K. Singh, filed an F.I.R. against Rhea Chakraborty and her family. The F.I.R. was filed in Rajiv Nagar Police Station, Bihar.
