Bollywood Music Composer Sajid has earned a lot of name along with his fame partner Wajid. His songs are loved by many and people have listened to the duo’s songs on loop. In an exclusive chat with ETimes, Sajid said that he that remixes are being sold to earn money. He grieves that the soulful melodies have exited the industry and has made Bollywood go for a toss. Not only this, the melodious singer spoke his heart out and shared the sad situation of music artists in India financially.
Sajid voices his opinion on vanishing melodies:
He was quoted by the media portal as, “Melody has vanished, and seems people have no way to recover it. Isliye purane gaane revamp ho rahe hain. You can’t even call them remixes as only the arrangements are being rearranged. Unke kapde badle ja rahe, insaan wahi hai. Secondly, I think remixes bik rahe hain. Isliye jisko paisda banana hai woh toph banayega hi. Musicians seem to lack the urge to go the extra mile if and when one/two of their songs from their bouquet for a film is rejected.” The sad reality projected out by the senior music composer hits right in the core due to the abolishment of beautiful songs.
He also added, “Ek labourer se aap apna ghar chamka rahe ho aur usko do waqt ki roti bhi nahi de rahe ho, toh woh ek na ek din to bolega. You are buying Lamborghini and Ferrari and the musician who’s worked for you that has helped you to buy those cars is not able to pay his/her children’s fees. Kahin na kahin aapne seth hone ka ya music label hone ka najayaz fayda utha rahe ho. You don’t value us, you have misused the talent of creative people. Look at the lifestyle of foreign musicians. We would have been owning islands if we had the same success ratio abroad as the one that we’ve had in India.”
However, Sajid still believes that things will change for better. Take to the comments section below to share your views on the same.
