The actor had promised to bear expenses of 25,000 daily wage workers in the film industry. Thus, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) received account statements from 19,000 workers. At hard times, some workers voluntarily stated that they are capable of handling their expenses during the epidemic, and they should help the ones who are more in need.
Everyone is moved by the bravery of the member staff. The FWICE General Secretary Ashok Dubey praised them and quoted, “Salman Khan had sought details of 25,000 workers. We received details from 19,000 member workers. Out of which 3000 workers had already received Rs 5000 from Yash Raj Films. So, we have sent the details of the remaining 16,000 workers to Salman Khan and he has started transferring the money. Soon everyone will get money.”
These donations will help the workers and their families to survive during the lockdown. As they work and earn on a day-to-day basis, they are left empty-handed during the quarantine. These donations will surely help them survive and recover the losses that have occurred on them due to the pandemic.
