Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has sent shock-waves across the nation. The mystery of his passing away is only getting complicated. In the recent news about Sushant’s death case, it is stated that the Maharashtra Government has filed an affidavit in Supreme Court. The affidavit opposes the F.I.R. filed by CBI against Rhea. Inspector Bhushan Belnekar from Bandra Police station has filed the affidavit.
Sushant’s Death Case takes a new turn with Maharashtra Gov’s Affidavit:
As per India Today, the affidavit reads, “Pending the proceedings in the Supreme Court, the CBI ought not have gone ahead and registered the case with it and also constituted a team for investigation. It ought to have awaited final decision of the proceedings in the SC.” It also says that earlier Sushant’s family members had no suspicion and did not file any charges. Affidavit further states that the Bihar Police has no jurisdiction in the case. This is because the alleged offenses took place under the Mumbai Police’s jurisdiction.
As per the latest reports, the Supreme Court will Rhea Chakraborty’s pleas on August 11. The court had earlier decided the date as August 18. The petition filed by Rhea urged the transfer of the case from the Bihar Police to Mumbai Police as the trial won’t be fair if Bihar Police investigates the case. She also urged an immediate stop to the investigation by the Bihar Police.
However, the center has handed over the case to CBI on Bihar Government’s recommendation. The Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI), on August 6, registered an FIR against six people including Rhea Chakraborty, Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty, father Indrajit Chakraborty, mother Sandhya Chakraborty, house manager Samuel Miranda, and Shruti Modi.
All this came into the picture after Sushant’s father filed an F.I.R. against Rhea Chakraborty and her family. The F.I.R. was filed on grounds of abetment to suicide, criminal breach of trust, theft, fraud, cheating, wrongful restraint, and many more.
