Social media has become a part and parcel of our lives. Celebs have developed a new kind of stress to maintain their followers and interact with them. Instagram and Twitter have become the new add-ons to our routines and it is equally important to be updated and keep others too. While social media has its own benefits, it also comes with some cons. T.V. actress Zahra Sethjiwala has recently confessed to a media portal that she has not completely succumbed to the pressure of social media.
Zahra Sethjiwala opines on Social Media Addiction:
The actress called herself ‘semi-active’ on social media. She went on to describe the same by saying, “Well, I am semi-active on social media. For example, I don’t share posts every day, though I make it a point to find out what’s happening.” Zahra also shared that for her its stressful to be active on social media. She added, “I am not someone who really bothers about what to post next and when. I like to spend my off-work hours doing other things than being glued to the phone.”
However, the actress believes that social media helps actors gain popularity and visibility. She recalled the incident of how she got her first ever project. She said, “I got my first show through a dubsmash video that I posted on my Instagram account and went viral. Having said that, the only way to reach where you want to, is through your hard work.”
She also addressed and acknowledged the love that pours in to her life from her fan pages. She said, “whenever I am sad, the first thing I do is visit my fan pages. The love and support my fans shower on me motivates and peps me up again.”
The actress has put forth valid points for social media obsession of people. She is currently seen in Binaifer and Sanjay Kohli’s ‘Happu Ki Ultan Paltan’. Share your views through the comments section below.
