The Bollywood unites for ‘I for India’ event on Facebook Live. Celebs from sports, entertainment, music, industries came together for one cause “I for India” on May 03rd. The celebrities raised funds for the battle against the global pandemic Covid-19. Facebook partnered with big names of Indian celebrities and has generated charity for the needy. All funds that will be collected from this program will go to the ‘India Covid Response Fund’ led by ‘Give India’ support relief efforts.

Celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Kartik Aryan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Divine, Badshah, Kapil Sharma, Karan Johar, Shabana Azmi, Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Madhuri Dixit, Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh, Dalker Salman, Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Anushka Sharma, Tiger Shroff, Parineeti Chopra, Bhumi Pednekar, Aditya Roy Kapur, Kapil Sharma, and Sophie Turner came forward to help India combat the disease.
I For India event had three objectives, one to entertain people midst the lockdown; second to pay tribute to the front-liners in this battle; third to raise funds; for the people who do not know when they will get their next meal and for the daily wagers who are left unemployed. The event lasted four hours and nineteen minutes. However, it was informative and entertaining.
It was pleasing to see the Indian celebrities unite and stand for one cause. It conveyed the message for us citizens to do the same at these tough times. At the end of this event, the filmmaker Meera Nair paid tribute to Irrfan Khan and Amitabh Bachchan paid tribute to Rishi Kapoor. both shared some untold stories about their time with the late veteran actors.
