The year 2019 was an important year for the females gone through sexual harassment in the Bollywood industry. The #metoo bought a revolutionary movement which helped many actresses speak up against the sexual predators in the industry. Now, a similar incident happened this year too. Dharma‘s casting director exposed for sexual abuse on an actress. It seems that there is no end to the sexual injustice cases in the industry.
The incident of Dharma’s casting director exposed publically is trending all over the internet. The news came into light that a casting director from Dharma Production has sexually harassed anchor named Reshma Mayekar. The accused, Nitesh Sharma, calls himself a co-casting director of Dharma Productions.
Dharma’s casting director exposed:
As per the reports, on 11 June Nites Sharma, called an anchor Reshma Mayeka and told her that she had been selected for a particular role. On the call, he said, “I am speaking from Dharma Productions, and we are casting for our next film Mr. Lele. You have been selected, but you have to pay Rs 2,500.” Nitesh Sharma also shared details to convince the actress. She also claims that before Nitesh someone had called from Dharma Productions’ official landline, but because she couldn’t receive it he called her from his number.
After this she said she cannot pay him 2500rs because of the lockdown crisis. So, Nitesh asked her to pay 1500rs as an audition fee instead. However, she said no to that too. Later, he said if you cannot pay then you will need to compromise, you will just need to have ‘sex talk.’ The actress got angry and denied that too. Have a look at the screenshots of the chats below.
