Amongst all the chaos, actress Richa Chadha sends legal notice to Payal Ghosh for dragging her name in her #metoo allegation. Recently, On Saturday, Payal accused filmmaker Anurag Kashyap of sexual assault. Payal had alleged that Anurag was sexually inappropriate towards her in ‘2014-2015’; An allegation which he called “baseless.” Payal also claimed that Anurag said that there were other female artistes who he got intimate with, including Richa. Richa’s lawyer stated on Monday, saying that the actor has initiated ‘appropriate legal action’ against Payal for falsely dragging her into the controversy.
Richa Chadha didn’t take her allegations lightly, she took it to the court and sent a legal notice to Payal Ghosh. Actress Richa has sent a legal notice to Payal Ghosh for ‘falsely (dragging)’ her name into her allegations of sexual assault against Anurag Kashyap. Richa said that she sent Payal a soft copy of the notice, after an attempt to deliver a hard copy to her residence failed.

Payal, who accused Anurag of sexual assault. Claimed that he told her that female actors like Richa, Mahie Gill, and Huma Qureshi would perform sexual favors for him and he expected the same from her. Both Anurag and Richa have denied the allegations and said they are taking a legal recourse. Richa’s lawyer issued a statement saying she would take legal action as her name was ‘unnecessarily and falsely dragged in a derogatory manner’ into the allegations.
Richa Chadha recently took to her social media account to inform that Payal Ghosh refused to accept a legal notice. She sent her on September 21, following allegations made against her. In her legal notice, Richa condemns her name being ‘unnecessarily and falsely dragged in a defamatory manner’; Into controversies and allegations raised by ‘third parties.’
Meanwhile, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Payal opened up about the legal notice sent to her by Richa. “That is not my version, that is what Anurag Kashyap told me. I said what he told me. I didn’t know him. Moreover, I didn’t know the other girls. I don’t have any idea about the others. I didn’t even know them personally, so why should I take their name? Who are they? There is no question of anybody’s name from my side. It is him who told me,” she said.
Now, Payal Ghosh has finally accepted a copy of the legal notice sent to her by Richa Chadha. Richa shared a screenshot of the delivery receipt on Twitter. And wrote, “Update: The legal notice has been delivered to Ms.Ghosh.”
