1. Bholaa
Synopsis:
Ajay, a talent you can always count on, also makes you cheer for Bholaa, a father who is absent but is eager to reunite with his daughter. He is the protagonist in this story, a guy of few words who expresses all of his sorrow and suffering via his eyes. Bholaa, a follower of Lord Shiva, uses his inner rudra form to battle bravely. To eliminate all the barriers that stand between him and his daughter, he fights a swarm of gangs, from bike-riding nasties to greased, kaccha-wearing monsters.
Story:
After serving ten years in prison, Bholaa (Ajay Devgn) is eagerly anticipating his first encounter with his daughter. But, IPS officer Diana Joseph (Tabu) forces him to assist her in a high-stress situation that involves the drug mafia, the general public, and a truckload of police, putting him in a perilous position.
Review:
The setting for the movie is a truck with three passengers inside (as well as more than a dozen police officers), countless highways, and a long, night. And from here, everything proceeds. This high-octane drama features many twists and turns, including emotional scenes and heart-pounding, uncut action. Of course, everything is not as straightforward as it sounds.
There is nothing that appears unlikely when Ajay Devgn rolls up his sleeves and starts to work. And this time, it’s more than simply a bunch of cars and persons hurtling through the air. While there is already more than enough of that, here he draws you in with deftly plotted action scenes that exude skill and delicacy. Ajay, a talent you can always count on, also makes you cheer for Bholaa, a father who is absent but is eager to reunite with his daughter.
2. Operation Mayfair
Synopsis:
The story in Operation Mayfair isn’t compelling. The plot is sloppy and the pacing is poor, which detracts from the attractiveness of serial killer material. For this, one might as well forego going to the theatre.
Story:
After hiding out for three years, a serial killer returns to London. The detective who was doing the investigation has since left his position, but he is summoned back to finish the case. Will he succeed in apprehending the offender?
Review:
All hell breaks loose when fashion model Sarah Jones, a female celebrity, is killed in London because it suggests a serial killer has struck once more after going undetected for a while. The case is being handled by DCI Lisa Varma (Vedeika Dutt), who asks to bring in Detective Amar Singh (Jimmy Sheirgill), who was previously looking into the crime. Amar has taken a break and joined Oxford University’s faculty as a professor of architecture. Since the serial killer’s identity is already known, the movie is neither a mystery nor a suspense thriller; instead, it centers on the cat-and-mouse game that the criminal and the police officer engage in.

3. Bheed
Synopsis
Anubhav Sinha accurately captures the pain endured by hundreds of people in his movie depiction of a particular stage of the pandemic.
Story
The plight of migrant workers during the statewide lockdown brought on by the Coronavirus and their arduous and sorrowful trek to return home are highlighted in Anubhav Sinha’s social drama.
Review
The Covid-19 pandemic unquestionably had a profound psychological effect on those around us as well as the community at large. Anubhav Sinha’s “Bheed” is a compelling drama that comes close to conveying the truth of the severe hardships migrant workers faced at that time of crisis—with the barest minimum access to food, shelter, little or no money, sealed borders, and lack of overall infrastructure to support them. However, a 112-minute film can’t capture what millions of people experienced in real life. The discrimination based on caste that some of them experienced during those trying times is also covered in the movie.

6. Shubh Nikah’
Synopsis
Even while “Shubh Nikah” may not be among the top films on intercaste romance and marriage, its heart is unquestionably in the right place.
Story:
The plot centers on Munna Lal Mishra, a Hindu lad, and Zoya Khan, a Muslim girl, who fell deeply in love without realizing the challenges and problems their relationship will endure. If they separate under societal pressure or if everyone accepts them, only time will tell.
Review:
Bollywood has frequently portrayed the idea of two people from different religions falling in love and encountering challenges. Similar to similar movies, writer-director Arshad Siddiqui’s production is centered on the joyful notion of being liberated from all societal constraints, religious restrictions, and other barriers that divide people. Siddiqui does a respectable job of skillfully capturing many religions and cultures. The first half of the movie is straightforward and humorous, but the second is so cliched that you can predict what will happen in the plot even before the next scene is shown.
The movie “Shubh Nikah” makes a sincere effort since it conveys its message while maintaining a progressive tone in storytelling. A few little story twists here and there, though, would have made the movie much better. Also, the overly long and dialogue-heavy extended climax may have been cut because it merely lengthens the picture. Some of the sights, which were primarily captured in Rishikesh, are just magnificent. They aren’t enough to keep you engrossed in the film the entire time.
