Fans await Salman’s Tiger 3 eagerly as the first two films of the franchise did exceptionally well in the box office. The collaboration of Salman Khan and Yash Raj Films will set the bar of expenses high. As per reports, budget of Rs 300 crores has been set for the film Tiger 3.
Rs. 300 Crores budget for the third part of Tiger franchise:
“The cost of production of Tiger 3 is going to be in the range of Rs. 200 to 225 crores, which is the biggest for a Hindi film till date. There will also be the usual additional burden of print and publicity of approximately Rs. 20 to 25 crores. In all his association with YRF, Salman has taken away around Rs. 100 crores as acting fees, depending on the magnitude of profits and Tiger 3 will be no different,” a source told a news portal. In addition, the cost will rise up to Rs 350 Crores, after taking in accounts several other expenses. This is the biggest budget of a film till date. The source further added, “But they are not worried about the returns. The idea is to breach the Rs. 400 crore club this time around, as the Tiger Zinda Hai created havoc by earning Rs. 339.16 crores in India.” The budget of Ek Tha Tiger was around Rs 60 crores, without considering Salman Khan’s fees whereas the budget of Tigar Zinda Hai was Rs. 150 crores, excluding Salman Khan’s fees.
As per reports, the movie will be directed by Maneesh Sharma. Aditya Chopra and Salman Khan are in favour of bringing freshness to the franchise and this has made them choose a new director. There were discussions to get Kabir Khan or Ali Abbas Zafar but Maneesh bagged the biggie. The film will be announced between August 10 and September 27. The announcement will be a part of YRF @ 50 celebrations.
