The movie Thappad has remarked the society with a slap on the face of patriarchy. Anubhav Sinha’s Thappad has been receiving a lot of admiration and recognition from the audience. The film was a solo Friday release, so the expectations of Thappad weekend collections are higher than usual.

Anubhav Sinha has skilfully directed a simple, subtle story into a strong film. The cast includes Tapsee Pannu in the lead along with prominent supporting characters – Dia Mirza, Maya Sarrao, Geetika Vidya, Ratna Pathak Shah, Tanvi Azmi, Naila Grewal, Pavail Gulati, Kumud Mishra, Manav Kaul, Ankur Rathee, and Sushil Dahiya. The movie run time is 142 hours, which seems perfect.
Weekend Collection:
Thappad had a great start with Rs 3.07 crore on its release day, 28th March 2020. With an increase in the numbers on Saturday the film raked Rs 5.05 crore. On Sunday the film is expected to make 6.50 crore making the box office weekend, total as 15.07 crore.
Well- received by the critics, the film will be making higher collections this coming week. Thappad weekend collection was a good start for the film, but the week isn’t over yet.
