The show is marketed as a fresh take on the saas-bahu drama sub-genre, which typically examines the power dynamics between stoic, merciless in-law moms and timid in-law daughters. Instead, an “unapologetically hardcore” mother-in-law and “steadfast and formidable” younger women will be featured in “Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo”.

The focus of the Bridgerton-verse prologue is Queen Charlotte’s ascent to fame and dominance. The series will describe how the young Queen’s union with King George sparked a wonderful love story and a social revolution, resulting in the world of the Tonne that the Bridgerton characters inherited. Even though the majority of the series is devoted to revealing Queen Charlotte’s past, it frequently returns to the present-day clique, bringing back Golda Rosheuvel to play the older version. Arsema Thomas (Redeeming Love), Michelle Fairley (Game of Thrones), and Sam Clemment (Cherry) also appear in the series as young Lady Agatha Danbury, Princess Augusta, and young Brimsley, respectively.
