Bigg Boss 7 fame Ajaz Khan has been in the news frequently since he was granted bail in a narcotics case. For the uninitiated, in 2021, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) conducted a raid at Khan’s house and seized drugs. After arriving from Jaipur, he was detained at the airport. At the time, the NCB official had stated, “He has been arrested primarily for his association with the Batata Gang, although 4.5 grams of Alprozol tablets were accidentally discovered during his house search.” Ajaz was granted bail on May 19, 2023, more than two years after being detained in the Arthur Road jail. Ajaz Khan Opens Ups About Being Behind Bars For 26 Months
Ajaz Khan recently held a news conference to discuss his 26-month stint in prison. He admitted, “The two years were quite challenging for me. I was true to myself, and as a result, my people distanced themselves from me. My father was seriously ill when I spent 26 months alone. I give God praise for keeping me alive for my family despite those difficulties. For 400 prisoners, there were only three restrooms, and they were constantly full.”
The actor continued, “I used to eat such dry rotis and rice that was like a stone. Even today, if someone gave me the bare minimum, I would still eat it with joy. I needed a month to adjust to daily life. Had no idea how to take a bath in a spotless bathroom or eat well. I was attempting to resign myself to this life after eating those dry rotis and dal with rodents and insects in prison. I was forced to sleep on the floor with only one blanket and those flies.”
