In her next south project, Mrunal Thakur will be seen opposite one of Telugu cinema’s newest stars, Nani, following the phenomenal success of her south debut with Sita Ramam, which became one of the most critically acclaimed Telugu films of 2022.
Shouryuv is directing the film, an emotive family story. The movie has started filming, with Mahurat being shot in Hyderabad this morning. The cast and crew all smiled as they posed for shots together. As part of her character preparation, Mrunal has been commuting back and forth between Hyderabad and Mumbai while working on the movie. “I’m very thrilled and eager to be a part of this initiative,” Mrunal said. The project’s support team is incredibly talented, and the story is incredibly heartwarming. I’m eager to collaborate with Nani. Given that I recently completed the remake of Jersey, which Nani first starred in, it’s an interesting curve.
Indian actress Mrunal Thakur primarily appears in Hindi-language movies, but she also appears in Telugu, Marathi, and Tamil productions. She began her acting career with the television programmes Kumkum Bhagya (2012) and Mujhse Kuchh Kehti…Yeh Khamoshiyaan (2012). (2014–2016). She received the 2015 ITA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for the latter.
Mrunal Thakur:
Thakur made her Hindi cinema debut in the 2018 drama Love Sonia, which received positive reviews. She later became well-known for her prominent roles in the 2019 biographical movies Super 30 and Batla House. After a string of disappointments at the box office, Thakur found success with the Telugu romance movie Sita Ramam (2022). With the Marathi movie Vitti Dandu, which was released in 2014, Thakur made her film debut. She was perceived to be Sandhya. Surajya, her subsequent Marathi movie, starred her as Dr Swapna.
Thakur started working on the international film Love Sonia in 2012, staying in Kolkata for the duration of the project. She played the lead character of a country girl who raises awareness of the subject of worldwide human trafficking in the movie, which finally came out in September 2018 after a number of delays. Thakur stayed at a brothel to observe the prostitutes’ body language as part of his preparation. Despite receiving favourable reviews across the board, the movie bombed at the domestic box office. It was her first endeavour in Hindi.
