After Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, Kangana Ranaut publicly spoke about nepotism in Bollywood. Many Bollywood celebs also opined on the same. Some of them nodded in favour of Kangana’s statement while the others denied it. This has now become an ever-rising topic of discussion in the B-Town industry and we don’t forecast it resting anytime soon. Now, an outsider in the Bollywood industry, Aditya Seal, has spoken on the topic. Aditya talked about him getting launched and re-launched by Bollywood biggies. He also denied the prevalence of nepotism in the industry.
Aditya Seal Opines on Nepotism:
Aditya Seal told IANS, “I did ‘Ek Chotisi Love Story’ and ‘Purani Jeans’, where I was launched. There was another film, ‘Tum Bin II’ where I was re-launched and then I did ‘Student Of The Year 2’. So, for me, I don’t understand the theory of insider-outsider at all because me being an outsider and getting launched and re-launched — why would anyone do that?”
He also talked about talent and skill set which is essential to bag any film. In addition, he claimed that the word ‘nepotism’ does not ‘resonate’ with him. Aditya also gave the entire scenario a look from a producer’s point of view. He said that he would want someone for his film on whose name he can sell the movie. Also, he mentioned that it is audience who makes someone star. Taking name of B-town celebs like Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, he said they have come and proved themselves time and again. As per the actor, thinking that nepotism prevails is sheer stupidity. He also believes that the word ‘nepotism’ has got undue spotlight and is being glamourised.
The actor will next be seen in ‘Anamika’. The movie is directed by Priyadarshan.
