Dengue fever has struck two actors on the set of Kundali Bhagya. Two weeks after Mansi Srivastava tested positive for dengue, Dheeraj Dhoopar, who plays the show’s male protagonist Karan Luthra, has also tested positive. Both are recuperating and resting at home right now.
Dheeraj Dhoopar down with dengue
“I was shooting till September 26 even though I was suffering from fever,” Mansi stated when approached. I misunderstood it for viral fever and informed the production company that I would be out for two days to recover. On September 27, though, I was diagnosed with dengue fever. I had a high temperature for the first week, which made things incredibly difficult. For about ten days, I felt quite weak. My folks, fortunately, are with me. They arrived in Mumbai shortly before my birthday (September 19) and looked after me. My father made certain that I ate properly and took my medications on time. I’m on my way to recovery and will be back on set in a week.”
“Dheeraj got himself checked on Saturday and tested positive for dengue,” his team said, while Dheeraj was unavailable for comment. His doctor urged him to get plenty of rest and eat a liquid-based diet to assist him to replace any nutrients he may lose over time. He is doing quite well and is currently relaxing. In a week or so, he should be able to return to work. It will, however, depend on how he feels at the time.”
