Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14 in his Bandra apartment in Mumbai. The actor at the age of 34, reportedly, committed suicide. The actor was suffering from clinical depression, as per sources. The cause of depression is still unknown. The Kai Po Che actor’s father, Mr. K.K. Singh has filed an F.I.R. against the actor’s girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty. The F.I.R. was lodged at Rajiv Nagar Police Station in Bihar. It was on grounds of abetment to suicide, criminal breach of trust, and many more things.
Steps by The Enforcement Directorate:
Bihar Police Team has set up a four-member Special Investigation Team to probe into the matter. The team is now interrogating people related to Sushant. The Enforcement Directorate, on July 31, filed a money laundering case against Rhea Chakraborty on the basis of the F.I.R. filed by Sushant’s father. After the detailed study of the First Information Report, the central probe agency has decided to apply charges under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). An Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) has been filed against Rhea, her family and others whose names are involved in the F.I.R.
As per reports, Rhea will be questioned next week about the huge amount of money missing from Sushant’s account. In the F.I.R. lodged by Mr. K.K. Singh on Tuesday, it was mentioned that 15 crore rupees were transferred from Sushant’s account to some unknown accounts.
In response to this, Rhea had filed a plea in the Supreme Court wherein she urges the judiciary to curb the investigation being done by the Bihar Police and transfer the case to Mumbai Police.
Following this, the actor’s father filed a caveat to urge the court to schedule a hearing before making any decisions on the case. To read more about this, click here.
