Kushal Tandon Suffers 20-25 Lakh Loss
Heavy rains on Thursday caused damage to actor Kushal Tandon’s Mumbai eatery, which is estimated to be worth about 20-25 lakh. Kushal shared a handful of photos of the aftermath on Instagram.
Kushal Tandon captioned the images as, “Thank you, Mumbai Rains, for doing this to @arbour28mumbai, as if COVID wasn’t enough, you did it as well. On the plus side, no watchmen or guards were wounded.”
In an interview with ETimes TV, Tandon was initially questioned how so much damage occurred, given that the rains weren’t very heavy. He said, “Yes, it wasn’t quite so heavy. Indeed, we received more rain last year and even before yesterday – but I believe the additional breeze that blew yesterday wreaked damage.”
He went on to say that the loss was in the range of Rs 20-25 lakhs. Tandon also mentioned that the eatery was uninsured.
When asked about his plans to restore it to its former glory, he replied, “It was created with a lot of heart. I had contacted individuals in France to obtain a unique textile material. It’s a 6,000-square-foot space. It won’t be easy, of course. But I’m not going to hold my breath. I’ll take care of it as quickly as possible.”
In 2019, Kushal launched Arbour28. Sohail Khan, Sidharth Shukla, Karanvir Bohra, and others were present at the opening. Last year, he discussed the financial impact of the coronavirus shutdown on the company.
