The Kyun Rishton Mein Katti Batti fictional character Neha Marda has been in the entertainment profession for 17 years. She married Patna businessman Ayushman Agrawal in 2012, but she wanted to keep working.
“Ayushman and I made the conscious decision to be in a long-distance relationship. My in-laws are all quite accommodating. Soon, I have no plans to relocate to Patna, and my husband is unable to go to Mumbai due to his business operations there,” Neha explains.
It hasn’t been easy for them to live apart, but they are doing their best. She continues, “Being in a long-distance relationship is difficult, and I always wish I could meet her husband. However, balancing career and personal life as a daily soap actress is challenging. It’s the simple things that count a lot. That is how one can maintain a relationship. If I have an early call time, Ayushman contacts me ahead of time to see if I’ve woken up. And if I’m late from my shoots, he even orders meals for me. There are several other things that we continue to do for one another. Even if I only have one day off, I never miss an opportunity to visit Patna. That is why, six years ago, I took a six-year break to be with my family,’ she adds of how they keep the flame alive
Neha enjoys spending time in her Sasural. She says, “Aside from being grateful for the opportunity to spend time with Ayushman, I also enjoy spending time with my in-laws. My mother-in-law and I both dislike cooking, so we don’t cook together very often, but we do other things. She keeps telling me to rest because she knows I don’t get much sleep in Mumbai.”
