Selfiee Box Office Day 2: Selfiee Box Office Day 2: Remakes of movies are a controversial concept. While some find it easy, others find it challenging. How effectively the adaptation retains the essence of the original film will determine how successful it is. The remake will be a success if the director is successful in doing that; if not, it will be a disaster. This was accurate in the case of the Bollywood film Selfie.
A successful Hindi remake of the well-liked Malayalam movie Driving License is called Selfie. The Malayalam adaptation does a good job of portraying the characters, their issues, and their underlying emotions. But, the Hindi adaptation was unable to match this success. Selfiee Box Office Day 2
Bollywood rang in the New Year with a boom after enduring a challenging period at the box office! With his comeback movie Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan ushered in 2023 and revitalised Bollywood at the box office. The Siddharth Anand-directed movie, which also starred Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, established a new standard and broke numerous barriers. However, Shehzada and Kartik Aaryan arrived a few weeks later, and a week after Selfiee debuted on television. The Kartik Aaryan movie is seeing a significant decline after debuting to 6 crores on February 17. But, Akshay’s Selfiee has gotten off to a sluggish start.
According to early trends, movie box office receipts have significantly decreased. While the film starring Kartik Aaryan has even failed to gross one crore, Akshay Kumar has seen a slight increase on Day 2. The most recent reports indicate that Shehzada made between 0.5 and 0.70 crore* on its ninth day of release, while Selfiee made between 2.5 and 3.50 crore* on its second day.
Shehzada and Selfiee will now stand at 29.32-29-52 crore* and 5.05-6.05 crore*, respectively, after earning 47 lakhs (for a total of 28.82 up to yesterday) and 2.55 crore on days 8 and 2, respectively.
In contrast to Akshay Kumar’s movie, which only made roughly 7 crores in its first two days, Kartik Aaryan’s movie took in almost 14.5 crores in those same two days.
The audience seems to be avoiding Shehzada and Selfiee while Pathaan remains their top pick among the three movies. Raj Mehta is the director of the Akshay Kumar-starring film, which has the support of Karan Johar’s Dharma Production.
Well, it seems that none of the films have benefited much from the widespread advertising in the cities. What are your thoughts on the box office collection? Do you share our opinion?
