Shibani Dandekar, an actor, and television personality has spoken about why she opted to support actor Rhea Chakraborty following Sushant Singh Rajput’s death last year, and how she has no regrets. The actress stated that she has accepted the fact that she will never be universally liked since that is an unachievable goal to reach.
Shibani Dandekar Supports Rhea Chakraborty
She said in an interview that she has said things in public that hasn’t gone over well, particularly in the last few years, and that she has lost a fan base and following as a result of standing up for what she feels is right.
According to Bollywood Bubble, Shibani said, “It didn’t disturb me, and I don’t mean it in a valiant. I’m unstoppable. It didn’t upset me since all I cared about was being as open and honest as possible. I stood up for what I believed in. That is still my opinion today. It wouldn’t be any other way for me. And once you know your truth, what other people say becomes unimportant. And I have no idea who these individuals are. So how can you have an impact on me if I have no idea who you are?”
Shibani strongly opposed the media trial of Rhea Chakraborty, in 2020, following the murder of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Sushant’s family has accused her of aiding and abetting his suicide as well as misappropriating his assets. She was detained for over a month on a drug-related allegation.
Rhea had told Shibani about being reportedly abused by one of Sushant’s sisters. According to an interview in 2020 with India Today, Shibani informed the newspaper that Rhea had been abused by Sushant’s sister.
