There has been a lot of frenetic buzz about how the cult song from 2009 film Delhi-6 has been reimagined for today’s youth by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series. The wait is finally over, Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria’s Masakali 2.0 is all yours for listening and viewing pleasure. The song is out now on T-Series‘ YouTube channel.
The electrifying pair Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria, are seen steaming things up in the contemporary and naughtier version of AR Rahman’s musical gem Masakali. The song has recreated with a modern touch by Tanishk Bagchi. Masakali 2.0 has a groovy and peppy feel to it that makes it the upbeat love track of the year. The song is also on its way to becoming the next chartbuster from T-Series.
The original version portrayed Sonam Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan in a laid-back feel, while Masakali 2.0 has Sidharth and Tara up the ante with their naughty romance. Tulsi Kumar, Sachet Tandon and Mohit Chauhan (also the original voice of Masakali) have collaborated to sing the track, with the female portion being the new inclusion in the ditty.
The music video is directed and choreographed by Adil Shaikh. It is a 3-minute video song. The director also has Sidharth and Tara sneaking into a plush hotel suite for some masti which won’t be seen until the end of the song. If you haven’t watched the song yet, then watch it over here now.
