The Bollywood industry has been revived with the news of the theatres reopening in Maharashtra. Everything is happening at once currently in the Bollywood industry. The industry that had come to an 18 months halt due to the Covid-19 pandemic is suddenly taking its charge again. Now, cinema lovers can rejoice as the theatre calendars are booked by filmmakers until 2022. Even release dates of the film that are far from completing shooting have been booked. After a long wait, the Sooryavanshi film is the first biggie that will be released in the theatres soon.
However, the exclusive news around the film is that the makers of the Akshay Kumar starrer movie have demanded the theatres. That they will not be sharing screens with any other films. As per the reports, the filmmakers are calling the theatre owners to tell them that their film will not share the screens with any other movie releasing on the date. That they are hitting the cinema halls (November 5, Diwali 2021).

Moreover, the theatre owners have also given a thumbs up to this demand. Maybe they are aware that they will be soon fed with another biggie from Reliance. That will be in Christmas 2021 – Ranveer Singh-led ’83. Since last evening, the whispers were that this has created a bit of an issue. In the Salman Khan-Varun Dhawan-Aayush Sharma starrer ‘Antim’; And the English film Marvel’s ‘Eternals’ as both had planned to release it on the same date that ‘Sooryavanshi’ ended up choosing.
To this dilemma, leading distributor Sunil Wadhwa said, “We are awaiting the SOP guidelines for Maharashtra based on which our distribution strategy will be planned.”
