When Aditya Roy Kapur and Mrunal Thakur’s onscreen partnership for the crime thriller Gumraah was announced, their fans were ecstatic. The film will be a Hindi remake of the hit Tamil film Thadam, for those who are unaware. The cast of Aditya and Mrunal’s film has already begun shooting, and the cast will reunite on Tuesday for the film’s second schedule.
The cast and crew will make a municipal school their base, according to a recent report in Mid-Day. The ensemble will film key scenes in a school in Mumbai’s district of Goregaon. It has been turned into a police station. This is the second installment of the crime thriller, which will feature Mrunal Thakur in a cop role and Aditya Roy Kapur in a dual part.
According to a source who spoke to the portal, “The Dalwai Educational Trust Goregaon English School will be transformed into a police station. The location will be used for a significant portion of the film, including many of Mrunal’s sequences. The Tamil film was a huge smash, and the Hindi adaptation will strive to replicate that success. The plot centers around two identical twins who are the prime suspects in a murder case yet have never met”.
The actors and crew of the film are hoping to finish the second schedule early next month. Before the school reopens for the new academic year in the second week of June, according to the source.
Mrunal Thakur had previously claimed that her cop role was always on her to-do list. “I knew I had to be a part of this movie the moment I heard the story. My character is intriguing, and I’ve always wanted to play a cop”. Mrunal had stated previously that this character would be unlike any other she had played before.
