Bollywood Hush will take you back to twenty-five years ago when the film Jeet was released. Ace Bollywood filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala had created a casting coup by bringing Sunny Deol, Salman Khan, and Karishma Kapoor. The classic film Jeet was directed by Raj Kanwar. Jeet became a blockbuster by becoming the highest-grossing film of the year 1996. The film was released on August 23 that year.
Sunny Deol and Salman Khan:
Bollywood film Jeet turned out to be the biggest hit then for producer Sajid Nadiadwala. But did you know that getting these actors together in a film was not an easy job? As per the insider sources, after a bad experience with Yash Chopra in Darr Sunny Deol had sworn to not do a two-hero film again with any of the three Khans of Bollywood in the 1990’s. In spite of all the chatter, Sajid offered the film to Sunny Deol. Sajid and Raj had already planned of casting Salman as Raju. So, even though Sunny had a few concerns about that he went ahead as he loved the script.
Later, Sajid approached the film to Salman Khan. The actor rejected the film at first narration. He felt the film will be driven by Sunny. However, he was reassured and so he came on board too. The duo bonded very well on the sets. It raked in Rs 16.50 crore in India and was the third biggest hit of the year.
