The weekend has ended, and the two movies that dominated the theatres this weekend were Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship and Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhan. Both the films were much awaited as they had promising actors in the lead, but as Monday is here the results of which film did better is also here, talking first about the film Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship critically didn’t do as well as expected. The reviews of Bhoot were awful and it was heart-breaking for the debutant writer and director Bhanu Pratap Singh, the lead cast Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar were consistent and did as much the script and screenplay were expected, but at last, everything comes down to the box office collection and Vicky’s horror drama collected Rs 10.62 cr this weekend.

Talking about Ayushman’s Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhan, the film got some very mixed reviews but that is understandable as the homophobia in India is still breathing, the director Hitesh Kewalya tried his best and got success in a way as Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhan is India’s first openly gay Bollywood film and their weekend collection was double of Bhoot’s collection, that is Rs 20.63 cr.
The reviews, statistics, and the number clearly state that Ayushman’s Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhan won in all the ways this weekend but the final results are yet to come and the game can change anytime so stay tuned to BollywoodHush to get the latest updates.
