Bobby Deol has stepped into the world of OTT platforms and is happy for the responses he received. In the movie, Class of ’83, the actor plays the role of a dedicated and industrious cop. However, Bobby has earlier acted as a cop but this movie dealt with stark realities, as per the actor. In addition, the actor also appreciates OTT platforms for their work. Also, the actor shared in an interview that he is highly encouraged by the love pouring in from the spectators.
Bobby Deol talks about his character in the film and shares his happiness:
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Bobby Deol shared, “I have played a cop earlier in my career — in Kranti and Chor Machaye Shor (both 2002), and they were larger-than-life kind of characters. This one was very real — the journey of a very honest cop (Vijay Singh), who sacrifices his family life, and the turmoil went through fighting this system. That was very exciting to play.”
The actor further went on to mention his gratitude for Salman Khan. It was due to Salman that he got the movie Race 3, as said by the actor. Not only this, Bobby feels Race 3 boosted his career and exposed him to Housefull 4. He also shared, “It’s been 25 years for me in the industry, in the next 25, I want to play interesting characters.”
“I’ve been trying to do work which will get appreciated, and the most important thing which will help me move further. I put faith in all my fans… that makes producers and directors notice me. I am just very excited, people have praised my work. The love is just amazing,” he said.
51 year old also shared how elated he was on receiving call from Shahrukh Khan. He also shared that he was highly complimented by the famous actor. He further said, “That’s something you always wish as an actor.”
