The residents of Mumbai are experiencing a surge in their electrical bills. The power supplier companies haven’t spared Bollywood celebrities too. Inflation of electricity bills is a very major rising issue in Mumbai. The complaint centers of these power supplier companies are filled with the same issue.
The Bollywood actress who is known for being vocal about her opinions in reel and real life also shares her ordeal on this matter. Taapsee Pannu publically shares her light bill. It is unbelievable that any individual living at their houses gets such amount as their light bill. Posting her ridiculously surged light bill on Twitter, Taapsee has given a voice to many people facing the same issue. The Tweet posted by the Bollywood actress went viral as soon as it was uploaded. Many people Re-Tweeted and shared their light bills and their problems related to it.
Inflation of electricity bills:
We also came across a guy who lives alone with minimum appliances at his home. Regardless of staying alone, he got the bill amount of 71,000. Many people tried contacting the customer services of their respective power suppliers. All they got a reply in return was that from the past three months the company couldn’t send a guy for a meter reading. The surged bill they got was an aggregate of three months. The companies also justified that they will adjust the bill later after the lockdown.
It is a shame that many middle-class people cannot afford to pay a surged amount prior. The lockdown has already made the citizens suffer financially. Adding to their problems, inflation of electricity bills by these power suppliers is the next major issue.
