Indian citizens switched off their lights and sparked candles, diyas, lamps, torches, and lanterns at 9 pm yesterday. The prime minister of India had addressed the nation in doing so, to encourage peace and unity. The Bollywood celebrities illuminated lights, just like all of us did yesterday. The celebrities showed their support by sharing the pictures with their fans.
The outbreak of the deadly disease coronavirus has not been contained. It has spread all over the world and has infected many humans. Due to the fatal virus, many humans have also lost their lives. The virus doesn’t discriminate and annihilates anyone that comes in contact with it. Along with regular people, many celebrities have also got infected and died because of Covid-19. Without being a cure, the only way to stay safe is to use the right precaution and sanitizations.
The experts and government of many countries have put their nations into lockdown. India is also in lockdown for 21 days, presumably. Although the situation has only gotten worst and there might be a probability of the days of the lockdown increasing. There is no official word on the extending of the lockdown yet by the government.
To keep the spirit of the citizens strong and to make them feel united, Narendra Modi had requested everyone to switch off the electricity and illuminate lights at their balconies and doors. Bollywood celebrities illuminated lights to show their support to the prime minister Narendra Modi.
