The global pandemic has created havoc all across the world leading to the closure of small businesses and affecting the livelihood of many. Amid such harsh situations, philanthropist and director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri started an initiative to promote a slew of small businesses that are facing the wrath of COVID-19 and highlight the micro-business on his social media.

The Kashmir Files director took to Twitter and wrote. “I will be promoting Indian small businesses on my Instagram soon along with like-minded celebs and populate platforms. When asked about the initiative, director Agnihotri said, “I researched and found out that after the lockdowns, Big Tech and large companies became richer by billions of dollars while small, local enterprises are on the verge of shutting down. It seems nobody cares for them whereas India’s future lies in MSME and local enterprise. I can’t fund them but at least I can use my huge reach and influence to help create awareness about them so that they can at least survive “
On the work front, director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s next directorial feature is titled ‘The Kashmir Files. He had finished the shooting with actors Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, and Mithun Chakraborty for the film.
