Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan have lent their personal office space in the Mumbai city to the government. He has also made some secret donations to almost seven initiatives. It is a 4-storey personal office space which will be used to expand the Quarantine capacity equipped with essentials for quarantined children, women & elderly. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has thanked them and said it is a thoughtful & timely gesture.
Kamal Hassan
The actor Kamal Hassan has provided the government his building. The residential building will be converted into a hospital for the treatment of Coronavirus patients. Kamal Hassan announced this news on his official Twitter account.
Sonu Sood
The Bollywood actor Sonu Sood also didn’t lag in helping the government. He has opened his six-storey Juhu hotel for healthcare staff, working tirelessly through this Coronavirus outbreak. He said, “It’s my honor to be able to do my bit for the doctors, nurses and para-medical staff of our country, who have been working day and night to save people’s lives. They hail from different parts of Mumbai and need a place to rest. We have already approached municipal and private hospitals and informed them about the facility.”
Sachin Joshi
Sachin Joshi is stranded in Dubai, even though he has offered his Powai hotel to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to convert it into a quarantine facility. BMC had reportedly approached him, and he agreed with it. His 36-room property is being used to quarantine those coming from abroad. The actor has also donated food boxes to policemen and municipal staff who work tirelessly in this grave situation.
