We all know what Rhea Chakraborty faced last year. After her boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, her life changed completely. She was even arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau. After all this turmoil in her life, her first project would be Rumi Jaffrey’s Chehre. We were expecting her name on the new posters of the movie. However, when earlier this year the new posters were unveiled her name was missing. There was no mention of Rhea Chakraborty on the new poster of Chehre. This grabbed headlines. Also, it left us all wondering if the makers have cancelled the contract with her. The film’s representatives had also refused to comment on the issue. But later when the teaser of the film was released we saw her glimpse there.
Chehre Producer FINALLY Reveals Reason for Absence of Rhea Chakraborty’s Name from Poster
Now, the film’s producer Anand Pandit has said that they did not want to gain publicity for their film with Rhea’s situation. “I don’t see any reason for not mentioning her name. She is among the eight artists in the film. We signed her much earlier and she completed her part satisfactorily. So, we are looking at her as one of the actors who’s done a good job,” he said about Rhea in an interview with the Indian Express.
“Also, I don’t want to take undue advantage of her situation for the commercial benefit of my film. That’s why we decided that for the second poster, we won’t mention her name. She’s gone through enough turmoil in her life, and we didn’t want to add more ripples. We got her into the picture, only when she was comfortable,” he added.
Sushant’s family had accused Rhea and a few others of abetment to suicide and money laundering. Thereafter, the actress and her family gained negative light. There was a severe media trial on her.
