Bollywood Filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor finally speaks about the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and his work in Kedarnath and Sonchiriya. Remembering the late and beloved actor, Abhishek Kapoor had a lot to say. The filmmaker confessed that Sushant’s work in the film Kedarnath wasn’t appreciated until after his death.

Getting candid in an interview, the filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor also revealed that Sushant Singh Rajput’s movie Sonchiriya was lauded after his death. Kedarnath was released in the year 2018. It was a romantic drama film that was written and directed by none other than Abhishek Kapoor. Along with Sushant Singh Rajput, the film also featured the actress Sara Ali Khan in the lead role. While, Sonchiriya (2019) was co-written and directed by Abhishek Chaubey and starred Sushant Singh Rajput, Bhumi Pednekar, Manoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey and Ashutosh Rana.
In an interview, Abhishek confessed, “Sonchiriya and Sushant did get a lot of love after his passing away. Maybe the media didn’t acknowledge him for his work. Like in Kedarnath and how there is something in that film and there is love, truth in it. But it was not acknowledged until he passed away, which suddenly jolted people out of their slumber, and they all stood up to say that they love this guy. He was a special man, it’s a big loss that he is not around here.”
