The nation is divided currently due to the ongoing farmer’s protest. These protests are held by northern farmers of India against the three bills passed by Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. It grabbed limelight internationally when International pop singer Rihanna tweeted out in support of farmers and also shared a news article on the same by CNN. She was later joined by climate activist Greta Thunberg. Greta also shared a toolkit about contesting protests that looked more like propaganda to make Indian Democracy look bad in front of the entire world. Soon after, we saw several Bollywood celebs joining the bandwagon to tweet against the international propaganda tweets. They also started the trend of #IndiaAgainstPropaganda and #IndiaTogether. Many people slammed the celebs who joined the trend which was later busted by people as a PR campaign. The Tiger Zinda Hai actor was spotted in an event where he was questioned about the farmer’s protest.
Salman said for farmer’s protest, as quoted by NDTV, “The right thing should be done. The most correct thing should be done. The most noble thing should be done.”
When Rihanna tweeted out in support of farmer’s, Kangana replied to her by tweeting, “No one is talking about it because they are not farmers they are terrorists who are trying to divide India, so that China can take over our vulnerable broken nation and make it a Chinese colony much like USA… Sit down you fool, we are not selling our nation like you dummies.”
Later when Kangana called Rihanna a porn singer, a musician had asked her its meaning. “Someone who can’t sell music without making it sensual/adult. Unlike classical and genuine singers where the body is of no consequence. A porn singer is hugely dependent on his/her flesh show off, private parts exposure and mediocre talent. This makes them absolutely massy, and junk,” Kangana had said.
