We all know that the second wave of covid-19 is proving to be disastrous. Many industries are affected because of the same. Similarly, Bollywood is not spared too. The shooting of many movies is affected because the cast or the crew have tested positive for coronavirus. Shah Rukh Khan’s movie Pathan and Ranbir Kapoor’s movie Brahmastra, both of their shoot is paused. We know that the state of Maharashtra is facing another lockdown due to insanely rising coronavirus cases. Therefore, in wake of another lockdown, FWICE general secretary Ashok Dubey revealed that the set construction of both these film has been kept on hold.
Here’s Why Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan & Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra Shoot Got Halted
He told TOI, “There were three big sets that were under construction including Pathan which was being built on the helipad of Film city that involved the shooting of John Abraham and Shah Rukh Khan. Then there was the Brahmastra set and Vikram Motwane’s Andolan Pictures’ set that was also under construction. Each set had about 250 members from the setting department working every day and the work was supposed to go on for a month but this new lockdown will hit their livelihood.”
The movie ‘Pathan’ also features John Abraham and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles, apart from Shah Rukh Khan. Pathan is directed by Siddharth Anand and is said to hit cinemas in 2022. Yash Raj Films produces the film. Salman Khan plays the cameo in the film.
Talking about Brahmastra, apart from Ranbir Kapoor, the movie also stars Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia and Nagarjuna Akkineni. It also holds a special cameo by Shah Rukh Khan. The movie is based on a lavish budget. It is the first part of the trilogy. Mouni Roy plays the lead antagonist in the film. The sparkling chemistry of Ranbir and Alia is also much-awaited.
