Dil Bechara, starring Sanjana Sanghi and late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, released in July this year. The movie was very well received by Sushant’s fans. This film is inspired by novel The Fault In Our Stars written by John Green. Now, what we have come to know is the writer has sent a personal message to Sanghi appreciating her skills and work in movie. Green had called her performance magnificent. In addition, he thanked her for “giving new life to Hazel Grace Lancaster.” He also addressed the loss of lead actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

The author, John Green, watched the film soon after its release and shared his reaction of the film on social media. Addressing to Sanjana, he wrote, “Hey, Sanjana. John Green here, author of The Fault in Our Stars. I saw the Dil Bechara film today and really enjoyed it. I thought your performance was magnificent–full of humor and heart and deep wells of emotion. Thank you for giving such wonderful life to Kizie, and in doing so, giving new life to Hazel Grace Lancaster. I can only imagine how difficult this whole process has been with the tragic loss of your co-star. I just wanted to say thank you thank you thank you for helping bring the film to life. I wish you all the best with what I hope is a very bright future.”
Reacting to the note, Sanjana shared a post. She thanked Green for his unfathomable words. She started with, “ITS JOHN GREEN HIMSELF!????Could NOT resist sharing this moment with you all. And CANNOT be more annoyed with myself for missing this beautiful message for over 3 months.”
The movie was released on July 27 on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar. It also stars Swastika Mukherjee and in cameo Saif Ali Khan. The story of the movie revolved around cancer patient Kizie (Sanjana) and a cancer survivor Manny (Sushant).
