This week, the Selfie movie will be released. The success of the teaser and the soundtrack has raised expectations for Akshay Kumar’s debut film in 2023. Also, the debut partnership between Emraan Hashmi and Akshay Kumar has generated more hype. Selfiee was approved by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) more than two weeks ago, it has now been discovered. The CBFC examination committee awarded the movie a U/A certificate. It’s noteworthy to notice that there were no audio or visual cuts imposed by the Censor Board. The creators received the certificate on February 8. The length of the film is 143 minutes, as stated in the censor certificate. In other words, the running time of Selfiee is 2 hours and 23 minutes.
It’s interesting to note that Selfiee is Akshay Kumar’s second movie—following Covid—to receive no editing since the pandemic. It’s an impressive accomplishment given how tough and brutal the CBFC has become in regard to the films’ content. Akshay Kumar’s first film after the pandemic, Bellbottom (2021), was given a U/A rating with no cuts.

This also happened after he was released, Sooryavanshi (2021). His family programme Raksha Bandhan (2022) subsequently earned a “U” certificate without any changes. Bachchhan Paandey (2022) was nevertheless prohibited because of its action scenes and ambiguous language. At four different moments in Samrat Prithviraj (2022), the CBFC requested dialogue adjustments. In Ram Setu, there was some dialogue substitution and suppression near the end (2022).
Besides Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi, Selfiee also stars Nushratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty. The film is directed by Raj Mehta, who is best known for the movies Nice Newz (2019) and JugJugg Jeeyo (2022), and it premieres on February 24. It is a 2019 official remake of the Malayalam film Driving License.
The movie Selfiee, starring Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi, will be shown in theatres tomorrow. The movie is significant since it is Akki’s first release of the year following back-to-back box office flops. The ultimate choice won’t be made for at least a week, but for the time being, everyone is focused on the opening day of the tournament.
The film, which was produced in Malayalam and was directed by Raj Mehta and starred Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu, is an official translation into Hindi. Akshay and Emraan are reprising their roles as Prithviraj and Suraj, respectively. The actor’s well-known movie appears to be more entertaining than Akshay’s most recent productions. There are many high expectations as a result.
