Parliament member Shashi Tharoor took it to his official social media handle on Tuesday to respond to Anupam Kher and Vivek Agnihotri’s Tweets. Justifying himself, he said that he never “mocked” or “disparage” the sufferings of Kashmiri Pandits and added that dragging his late wife Sunanda into this matter was “unwarranted” and “contemptible”.

Earlier, ‘The Kashmir Files’ director tweeted, “Hey @ShashiTharoor, Is this true that Late Sunanda Pushkar was a Kashmiri Hindu? Is the enclosed SS true? If yes, then in Hindu tradition, to respect the dead, you must delete your tweet and apologise to her soul,”
Hey @ShashiTharoor,
Is this true that Late Sunanda Pushkar was a Kashmiri Hindu?
Is the enclosed SS true?
If yes, then in Hindu tradition, to respect the dead, you must delete your tweet and apologise to her soul. https://t.co/3wgJQnkhVZ pic.twitter.com/98DPB4Gnj7

Shashi Tharoor’s war of words with Anupam Kher & Vivek Agnihotri:
Veteran actor Anupam Kher too joined his director Vivek Agnihotri in attacking Shashi Tharoor. He said, “Dear @ShashiTharoor! Your callousness towards the #KashmiriHindus genocide is tragic. If nothing else at least for #Sunanda’s sake who was a Kashmiri herself you should show some sensitivity towards #KashmiriPandits & not feel victorious about a country banning #TheKashmirFiles!”
