Today marks the 88th birth anniversary of comedian, singer and filmmaker, Mehmood Ali. The actor ruled the Hindi cinema for three decades, from 50s to 80s. His iconic and memorable characters come from movies like, Padosan, Kunwara Baap, Gumnaam and many others. Amitabh Bachchan and Mehmood shared her beautiful and close bond, which is known by all. Amitabh used to stay at Mehmood’s house during his struggling days. However, what will swipe away the floor beneath your feet is, Amitabh used to steal cars from Mehmood’s collection. The reason Big-B did this, is hilarious and jaw-dropping. The motive behind stealing cars was to impress his girlfriends. This revelation was made by Mehmood’s brother, Anwar Ali.
Amitabh Bachchan Stole Cars from Mehmood’s Collection:
Anwar said in a throwback interview, “He (Mehmood) lived like a king both in terms of his lifestyle but also his large-heartedness. He looked after our extended kutumb of 150 people. He loved cars and at one point he owned a fleet of 24 cars including a Stingray, Dodge, Impala, MG, Jaguar and others.” As per reports, Amitabh used to steal from that multi-varied collection. Amitabh and Mehmood have shared screen in movies like Garam Masala, Kunwara Baap, Bombay To Goa and Khud-Daar.
Talking about Amitabh’s work front, he will next be seen in Brahmastra. The movie also stars Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Dimple Kapadia. Shah Rukh Khan has also played a cameo in the movie. Talking and appreciating Ranbir, Big-B said, “His face is God’s blessing. He doesn’t seem to make any effort to convey emotions, whereas I’ve to constantly struggle to express myself and ask the Director to help me.” Brahmastra is produced by Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios and scheduled for a release on 4th December. The movie is Ayan Mukerji directorial.
