While the whole country stands divided between #JusticeForSSR and #JusticeForRhea, “Udaan” fame actor Vijayendra Kumeria has a very neutral stance to the whole controversy and feels that there should be justice for everyone. He says he is not in support of one person or one group but wants the truth to come out regarding Sushant Singh Rajput and the mysteries surrounding his death. Vijayendra Kumeria wants Justice for all.
“All those hashtags doing rounds, I just want to say that there should be justice for everyone. May the right thing come out of the investigation, and justice should prevail for whoever deserves it. I am not in support of a group or a person, but all I want to know is the truth. All these things like drug peddling and money laundering are the smaller issues of the main issue that was SSR and his death. I just want the truth to come out, there should be justice for all,” he said. The actor firmly says he is against any media trial, as a person is not guilty unless proven so by the court of the law.
Vijayendra on drug probe:
“The CBI is doing their job, and the NCB is still investigating the case, there are courts which will decide who is guilty. It is not right to do a media trial or a social media trial. I have complete trust in our authorities, and they will get to the truth. Moreover, I am not saying whether Rhea is guilty or not, because I am no one to comment on it and I don’t know what the story is, but I would say that let’s leave it to the investigating agencies and the court. I would only say a person is not guilty till the time they are proven guilty in the court of law, so let’s see what the investigations reveal,” he said.
After almost two months of Sushant’s death, Rhea Chakraborty, who is the prime accused in SSR’s death case, gave her interview to a veteran journalist and asked for a fair chance to prove her innocence. This was her way of presenting her side of the story, especially after all that was said about her. Vijayendra feels that if she asked for a fair chance on national television, she should have been given one.
Vijayendra Kumeria wants Justice for all:
“I saw the interview. It might be scripted, it might not be scripted, but if she came on national television and asked for a chance to prove her innocence. Then let’s give her that. Because it might be possible that she is not behind all this, so let’s give her that opportunity, at least. Let’s not jump to conclusions. Everyone has the right to justice. So, let us wait for the court to decide on who is guilty and who is not,” the “Naagin: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel” actor said.
In her interview, the “Jalebi” actress said that Sushant used to smoke marijuana. He had a troubled relationship with his family and even spoke about his depression at length. So, what about the mudslinging? Vijayendra said, “I feel that after a person is gone you shouldn’t talk ill about him, it’s not right. But now that she has already spoken about it, let’s see what the agencies find on that. I just feel that after all that was said about her. Maybe her state of mind was such that she went on speaking about him without even thinking of the outcome. Maybe she wanted to, maybe she was told to say so, it is a very mysterious case and we really can’t conclude anything yet.”
Vijayendra shares his perspective:
Vijayendra summed it up by saying let’s concentrate on SSR’s death case and added; “We started with wanting to know what happened to Sushant. Why he did what he did, did he do it because of someone? I think the whole focus has shifted now. Now we are only talking about drug peddling, nepotism, power games, and how Bollywood is reacting to Kangana’s comments. In a way, it’s fine, because if there are some things in Bollywood which need to be rectified. Then it should be done. But let’s not forget the main issue in between all this.”
