In the movie, Bhumi Pednekar plays a prisoner who gets possessed by the spirit of a vengeful queen in the new film produced by Akshay Kumar and Bhushan Kumar. Durgamati, which was earlier titled Durgavati, is a Hindi remake of the Telugu film Bhaagamathie. That plot too revolved around an IAS officer Chanchala Reddy, who is imprisoned in a haunted house; And eventually, things take a dramatic turn after she gets processed by a spirit.

Coming back to the Durgamati Trailer review, Bhumi Pednekar throws herself completely into the chaotic and scary world of corruption in the trailer of Durgamati. The trailer shows that the film is set on two different timelines tied together with the themes of justice and revenge. Bhumi Pednekar plays Chanchal Chauhan, who is in prison and who’s taken to a sprawling mansion called Durgamati Haveli. Mahie Gill is an investigating officer, and Arshad Warsi is a powerful politician who cannot be touched. There’s a mysterious woman called Durgamati who’s spirit enters into the body of Chanchal.
As the ghost takes over, the jumps scare and drama rules in this latest offering from producers Akshay Kumar and Bhushan Kumar. The film also stars Jisshu Sengupta and Karan Kapadia in prominent roles and is written and directed by Ashok. The camerawork of Durgamati engulfs you. The film is all set to premiere on December 11 on Amazon Prime Video India.
