What’s Good: Irrfan Khan must have approved of this movie because of the opening scene and the first 10 minutes.
What’s Bad: The rest is the reason we should be glad he didn’t succeed. A product that is too perplexed to even consider employing a hook because it is unsure of its position. Please stop making Nawaz dance.
Take as many bathroom breaks as you want; you deserve them.
Watch or Not? : It’s on OTT; test your luck and taste buds, but don’t even hold out hope for the bare minimum.

Tiku Weds Sheru Movie Review:
Script Analysis
The plot of tales about hopes and dreams that drive people to extreme measures and ultimately cause them to pay the price for it can take so many different forms. A sophisticated writer can grip his audience and break them for the duration of the play while still leaving a lasting impression, especially when the stated dreams are to become actors and stars. One excellent example is Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion (ironically, the producer of this movie starred in it, and what an amazing performance!).
But Tiku marries Sheru, which somewhere is built of the same material about people battling their circumstances to become stars in a visual field, is overconfident and preoccupied with figuring out what tone to use for the word “sure.” The whole running time is spent trying to find the story’s core, and as a result, we are given nothing more than disconnected scenes from a plot that, when viewed from above, have no bearing on one another. I’m not gonna lie. In the first ten minutes, I was hooked on the story of a man who goes for matchmaking and rebels against the girl’s family after the uncle slaps her. This man does all kinds of terrible things. You anticipate that the movie will go in the same manner because that brief moment demonstrates so much thought.
But occasionally, your expectations are not met. Tiku Weds Sheru prefers to be so haphazardly distributed that there is no graph. What the film is trying to express is the main question. To whom is it speaking? Does it intend to make a statement about the movie business? Is the predicament of the “outsiders” what we should be concentrating on? It makes an effort to go into each of the aforementioned topics, but it never adheres to anyone in particular to make a point.
The biggest letdown is that Avneet Kaur gives her all to this role and is too talented for a debut alongside a veteran actor like Nawaz, but for what?
A script that moves between scenes from a plot should have glue holding those scenes together. For example, there is a touching scene between Tiku and Sheru where they are finally accepting one another on a beach, but the magic is gone and never restored when the decision is made to abruptly disrupt it with a mention of abortion, resulting in Nawaz falling inconsolably. Similar to this, the script simply jumps to sequences and assumes we know what is going on without ever asking us to participate. Tiku makes an odd choice because she is now offended that he lied, but wasn’t bothered while she was basking in money and there was no risk surrounding her. He starts selling drugs out of the blue and ends up in jail.
Because of all the randomness, you stop caring about the characters, and even then, empathy can be the last thing you feel.
Star Performance
Why is Nawaz harming himself and us in this way? The actor has created some of the most complex and enduring characters for Bollywood, ones that will be remembered for years to come. However, the actor has recently made so many dubious and even simply awful decisions that it becomes harder to trust him as an actor. Even his most recent release, Jogira Sara Ra Ra, and Heropanti 2 were unworthy of him, so why wouldn’t an actor of his caliber reject these? Maybe a lot of money, but how long will that last?
Although Nawazuddin is also there, Avneet Kaur is a pleasant surprise who manages to be the best actor in the room. She does a good job of bringing out Tiku’s emotions and wild side. The only way for a girl with a strict upbringing to view the world without her glasses is to marry a much older man (age is never brought up in the film because who cares about important narrative aspects anyway?) Kaur does a good job in the challenging role. She simply picks the incorrect movie.
The rest of the cast is made up entirely of one-note characters who exist merely to support the primary couple and have no independent existence.
Direction, Music
Sai Kabir is known for producing films that, at one moment, make viewers leap around like giddy kids who had just glimpsed a package of candy. haphazardly and without a plan of action. Tiku Weds Sheru is no exception, and in some places, it is so absurd that you truly want to know what inspired everyone to make it.
Tiku Weds Sheru’s music is excellent. Some delicate songs by composers Gaurav Chatterji and Sai Kabir will be appreciated after listeners get used to them.
The Last Word
Tiku Marries Sheru rejects being a film that seeks to engage its audience and fulfill its objective. It decides to exist at random, which is not a good indication of a movie.
The film Tiku Weds Sheru debuted on June 23, 2023.
