Actor Helly Shah is currently seen playing the character of sweet, simple girl Ridhima in producers Mamta Yash Patnaik’s show Ishq Mein Marjawan 2. The show is one of the many other shows which has resumed shooting with heavy sanitization precautions and hygiene levels to avoid any case of COVID 19 on the sets.
The young star believes that with the COVID 19 cases refusing to come down, she prefers being precautious rather than regret anything later. “I am very precautious. I see a lot of people who do not care but I know the situation is very serious. People were so worried when we had 3000 cases a day and now when we have touched 80,000 cases, some of them behave so relaxed.! I think it’s good that there is a certain fear because it makes you more cautious and alert. I just hope Covid 19 goes but people’s sanitization habit should not go,” she shares.
Helly Shah talks about her character Ridhima:
When the Nationwide lockdown was imposed, bringing the shootings to a screeching halt, the worst affected were the daily wagers in production houses. Commenting on their situation, Helly says, “Not just television, every industry was badly affected. You name it and see how much people have suffered. Everyone was going through it. If the work stops for 15 days, there is so much loss but imagine everything being shut for months. It has affected a lot of people. I think as colleagues, we should help people as much as we can in times of need. It’s the basic need of humanity.”
Coming back to her show, Helly believes that her character of Ridhima is loved by the audience for a particular trait she carries. “It is Ridhima’s vulnerability which is liked by the audience. She is not a very strong girl. Everything that comes in her life shakes her up and I think that makes her pure and lovable,” shares Helly.
Helly is also glad to have got producers like Mamta Yash Patnaik. “I think the journey to the show has been great. It has been 3-4 months now. I think the best part is that everything there is a little bit change in the character. Mamta ma’am personally calls and narrates the characters and she always tells us that we can call her anytime. If there is any doubt or confusion. That way she has always given us every comfort and we can always approach her if there is anything that we need to talk about. It makes her an amazing person and I am glad to be working with her,” says Helly.
