In an interview for his recently released movie Gulmohar earlier this month. Manoj also discussed his battle with depression, stating that he went through a period of intense despair. After being rejected by the National Academy of Theatre (NSD). According to ANI, Bajpayee reflected on his early years. And revealed that ever since he received praise for reciting a poem by Harivansh Rai Bachchan in fifth grade. The actor had always wanted to be an actor. He recalled, “As I came down after reciting it, there was a resolution in my head that I am going to do acting.”
He couldn’t tell his family about his objectives, so he kept them to himself. Bajpayee was more committed to pursuing his passion as he got older, and he focused on enrolling at Delhi’s National Academy of Theatre.
