According to Sanjog actor Rajniesh Duggall, the majority of TV programmes still feature stronger female characters. He claims that the majority of plots, nonetheless, successfully juggle the two genres.
“I believe that 80% of shows are female-oriented and 20% are male, but even in those women-oriented shows, the man is just as significant because the moment you say that they are portraying women being mistreated or tortured, the man is ultimately implicated. Now, it might play a constructive function or a destructive one. As a result, they acquire equal importance to women. Either the husband, boyfriend, brother, or father-in-law would be responsible. I believe it to be just as important as the main point, yet in the absence of that, 20% of the stories also end up being centred on women. Women are the audience and consumers.” He claims.
Rajniesh Duggall:
When asked how television programming could be made better, he replies, “I personally feel that there has been a lot of content that is being changed and better content is coming, but sometimes, I’m slightly taken aback when a producer pitches a story to a channel and if the channel agrees to it, and still it keeps changing. However, they are aware of the audience’s pulse and know better. They continue to improve it as a result of the input they receive. At the end of the day, they’re also doing it to support their channel and show, therefore it should always be viewed positively.”
Rajniesh Duggall concludes, “The best experts, in my opinion, are the channel people. The folks who are working nonstop to provide better content are the writers and the producers. They are excelling in their efforts. Additionally, I observed that the show is still being directed in the same, dated manner when it comes to shooting, which has to alter immediately. Over-the-shoulder, close-up, and one master shot were used. There are some scenes that you really don’t need to shoot six times. You may see the differences in shot-taking by watching a half-hour of a web-based programme. I sense that something needs to change.”
